long time, no shiny

shiny_omgSo life got kinda crazy there for a while and everything not work related took a back seat, but with the holidays approaching, I kicked things into gear. I also have six pieces in the stage of "all strung, but need fiddly finishing bits," just ordered more beads (black labradorite) and a neck-shaped display stand for better picture taking, so expect more shiny in the new year.
Here's what I've been up to:
Smoky black and white glass beads with a white swirl design, cultured freshwater white pearls, matte black Toho seed beads. Silver plate lobster clasp and 2 inch extender. Christmas gift for my sister-in-law.
Green and yellow swirl glass teardrops, green and yellow seed beads, with a yellow leaf charm and a white glass calla lily pendant on an antiqued-gold headpin. Gold-plate hook and eye clasp. Christmas gift for Mer.
Mixed purple glass accented with pale green cultured pearls, and an etched shell pendant on a sterling silver pinch bail. Sterling-plate lobster clasp and 2 inch extender. Quartz bear charm on clasp. Christmas gift for Mer.
Cultured freshwater pearls in peach and gold with a gold freshwater pearl focus. Gold-plate hook and eye clasp. Christmas gift for my mom.
I started this while I was supposed to be working on Christmas gifts. I've had the agate for a while, but have had nothing good to do with it. Then I remembered the lava rock squares I bought on a whim and bam. I finished this in about an hour (which explains how I miscounted and have more rounds on one side than the other - oops). The second picture is more true to the actual colors. Black lava rock squares, striped agate rounds and sterling silver patterned spacers. Silver-plate spring clasp.
